Key stage 3

Following on from a very successful enrichment day, KS3 students have continued to have talks, assemblies and lessons delivered by members of our local community, including out local PCSO and police officers. With safety in mind, we are lucky to welcome back the road safety team from York council in assemblies during the week of 30 January. They are offering a free bikeability level 3 training course to all students in years 7,8 and 9. Letters will be sent home on the days of their visit so keep a look out for them and return them asap!

Key stage 4

This spring term is a busy one for our Year 11 students; they have had a taster day at collefes and sixth forms and many are now preparing for interviews for their post 16 destinations. In the upcoming weeks, there will be more mock exams in English and Mathematics to help prepare our students. The term started with new timetables for out year 11’s with many students now on intensive interception strategies to help them boot their grades. Please continue to encourage your son or daughter to make the most of what is on offer and start planning for the up and coming external exams. We look forward to seeing many of you on Tuesday 14 February for our Year 11 Parent’s Evening.
