Clubs and Activities

Extra-curricular activities are a major strength of Vale of York Academy. Enrichment activities range from clubs after school, holiday activities, plus a number of residential trips.

Throughout the academic year, all departments contribute to our programme ensuring we offer an extensive range of activities to engage all. Students are consulted regularly on opportunities they would like to be made available within school.

Students must wear the Vale of York PE kit for the sports clubs, students will get changed at 3.15pm in the changing rooms specified. Sessions will end at 4.15pm and all clubs are mixed gender.

Students will need to sign in on the after-school register with the staff running the club.

Homework Club

Homework Club is open to all pupils from every year group, every night after school in the school library, from 3.15-4.15pm. Pupils can come and study in a quiet environment, staff are on hand to offer support and assistance and IT is available for those who need it.
