Name: Alex Walker
Achievement:Human Resources in Veterinary Sector
Year of leaving school: 2012
I left Canon Lee in 2012 and after a year at university studying Journalism, I changed course and went on to a business administration apprenticeship while working as a recruiter for NHS urgent care services and 111 services. After a year of a lot of work and helping to recruit for a new 111 Service in Wiltshire, I completed my apprenticeship and went on to be awarded with the HR employee of the year award for 2018.
I’m now continuing my HR career though I now work in the veterinary sector. I’m also studying part time for my degree with the end goal of becoming a teacher.
