Clubs and Activities

Extra-curricular activities are a major strength of Vale of York Academy. Enrichment activities range from clubs after school, holiday activities, plus a number of residential trips.

Throughout the academic year, all departments contribute to our programme ensuring we offer an extensive range of activities to engage all. Students are consulted regularly on opportunities they would like to be made available within school.

We’re really excited that we can offer after-school clubs again this term. Below, you can see a list of available sports clubs which will run from June-July 2022.

Students do not need to sign up (other than for DofE), they can just turn up!

Students must wear the Vale of York PE kit for the clubs, students will get changed at 3pm in the changing rooms specified. Sessions will end at 4pm and all clubs are mixed gender.

Students will need to sign in on the after-school register with the staff running the club.

If you are looking for a non-sporting activity or club, there are plenty to choose from! Click here for a full list.

Homework Club

Homework Club is open to all pupils from every year group, every night after school in the school library, from 3.00-4.00pm. Pupils can come and study in a quiet environment, staff are on hand to offer support and assistance and IT is available for those who need it.
